The more skilled you are, the more easily you can take on complex and demanding tasks. Most of the time an amateur can still try the same things, they'll just fail. Some tasks, though, cannot even be attempted without a very high rank in the correct skill, and perhaps also a specialization. The rules here cover these odd exceptions.
Prerequisites: Craft ●●●●
If you have four or more actual dots in the Craft skill, you are capable of making incredible works of art or engineering. When making a piece for which you possess a specialization, you may voluntarily multiply the number of required successes by five. If you succeed on this longer extended test, then the outcome is truly one-of-a-kind in its artistry and execution. Keep in mind that your total possible rolls are still limited as usual. This special action cannot be applied to Hedgespun, Tokens, or other supernatural creations.
The Master's Craft rule can also be applied to Expression when that skill is used to compose a song or speech.
Prerequisites: Medicine ●●●, Appropriate Medicine Specialization
People with three or more real dots in Medicine and a specialization in First Aid, Triage, or something similar have enough experience to judge the injuries of 20 men with a glance. All Wits + Medicine rolls for the Triage action become Reflexive actions. Some combat medics who have had intense experience on the battlefield can gain this benefit without a relevant specialization.
