By book, the Gunslinger merit does not play nicely with other firearm-based merits, especially Combat Marksmanship. The new rules here change Gunslinger to allow someone wielding two pistols to make a burst fire attack, instead of granting an additional full attack. In practice, this still feels powerful, since gunslingers can attack multiple people in a round. However, the change prevents weird side-effects when combining Gunslinger with Combat Marksmanship.
Prerequisites: Dexterity ••• and Firearms •••
Effect: Your character’s capability and experience with firearms is such that he can accurately fire two pistols at the same time. This lets him use those pistols to make a Short Burst or Medium Burst attack as though he were using an automatic firearm. With a Medium Burst, you character can attack up to three targets as usual.
The merit may be used with pistols only.
Drawback: Your character cannot use his Defense against any attack in the same turn in which he intends to use this Merit. If he uses Defense against attacks that occur earlier in the Initiative roster, before he can perform this maneuver, he cannot perform the maneuver this turn. He is too busy bobbing and weaving out of the way of attacks.
