Loki is the persona of Sorrow, which can be extrapolated out to suffering, the suffering of others, but more importantly of himself. There are no words in mortal psychology for what exactly is wrong with Loki; the closest we’ve got is “Masochistic adrenaline junkie”. There are those who are said to thrive in adversity, and Loki is practically their poster child. But where most are supported and invigorated by more common elements such as love, companionship, success, Loki practically subsists on his own suffering and hardships. However, it is important to note that whilst Loki finds joy in his suffering, he is in no way subservient to anyone, no does he let himself be taken advantage of.
[Log #38]: There is a reason that The Hunt keeps being referenced. The Hunt is the ultimate expression of pain and exhilaration. The bond between Predator and Prey is a sacred thing, a kind of intimacy that is only surpassed by the bond of Motley. In this scenario there are four kinds of people Predator, Prey, Bystanders and Corpses. What a Hunter (Predator/Prey) is, is obvious and a persons classification in this regard at anytime. A Bystander is a person who, for one reason or another, is not involved in the hunt. Every Mortal (non-supernatural human) is naturally born into this category; every Monster (supernatural creature) is naturally born as a Hunter. A Bystander can promote himself to a Hunter by willingly engaging in the Hunt (eg. becoming a murderer) or by being dragged into the Hunt (eg. Being dragged into Arcadia, Awakening, Being Embraced, experiencing First Change, in other words, Becoming a Monster). A Hunter can Retire into a Bystander after any Hunt, however this is permanent and cannot be reversed. Then there are Corpses. These are Hunter that have lost their nerve and have tried to Retire in the middle of a Hunt, or have tried to come out of retirement, or have, god forbid, tried to Retire while still Hunting. These are Corpses, those dead on the inside, and who should be made to match on the outside. Corpses are not to be Hunted, they are not to be killed, they are to be disposed of.

The value of a good pair of binoculars cannot be overestimated. It may be necessary to see something farther than the human eye allows. Want to see what’s on a computer monitor in the building across the way? Does your character need to keep an eye on the skulking derelict who just wandered into her territory? Anything past 100 yards will incur penalties to any Perception-based Investigation or Composure rolls when made with the naked eye. A pair of binoculars, however, eradicates the majority of such distance-related penalties. A good pair of binoculars can see up to 1,000 yards, though after 500 yards, the character starts to lose detail. Every 100 yards past 500 confers a –1 modifier to any Perception- based rolls using the binoculars to a maximum of –5 dice. Night vision binoculars exist, as well. Night vision allows long-range viewing in the dark, but a character begins taking the penalties at 200 yards (–1 for every 100 yards thereafter). Such sighting devices cost •••.
