Europa is a freezing moon of water covered by thick sheets of ice, capped by searing radiation from Jupiter. Its capitol Conamara was founded as a research station to study the unique subcrustal sea and other habitats soon followed. After the fall, Europans took in many refugees and staunchly held off the Jovian junta’s attempts at annexation.

Conamara is the capitol of Europa. It’s an old-style bubble habitat carved within the enormous ice sheet, with lifts to the surface and the depths below. The hab has a rich history of research, riches, and drama, and is home to many prestigious academic institutions. Ice hockey is the most popular pasttime of the many transhumans who squeeze into Conamara’s walls.

Killaraus Icicle is one of the newer icicle-style habitats which dangle from the underside of Europa’s enormous ice sheet. Visually stunning, it has direct access to the sea and plenty of accomodations for water-bound morphs. Sea spelunking is very popular on Killaraus.

Mountain’s Rise is a large dome habitat on Europa’s ocean floor. It is tailored entirely for ocean-bound morphs and is kept flooded at all times. Since it operates at the same crushing pressure as the surrounding water, special low-pressure rooms are maintained for nano-fabbers and emergency use.
Though not as heavily-used as the habitats on the ice sheet, Mountain’s Rise is still popular with deep sea residents and aquatic morphs.
Small dome hab built overhanging a stark ridge on Europa’s sea floor. It’s a hub for foodstuffs and hand made goods.
Sanlow Bubble is a strange bubble hab which hangs from the underside of the ice sheet near Conamara. It was built in AF1 to house the capitol’s booming population, before the icicle habitat design had been created. Now, it serves as a convenient auxiliary hab for people who want to live near the moon’s capitol, but avoid its dense construction.
These groups operate exclusively on Europa. Their impact and power is severely limited elsewhere in the system.

Europan Assembly is the largest mercurial rights group on Europa. It has a very mixed reputation, with supporters insisting its unsavory actions are necessary for the betterment of all, and its detractors claiming it is nothing more than a front for malicious slavers.

Dead Sea is Europa’s biggest criminal enterprise. They have experts in almost every kind of illegal activity and sport a strong off-world presence, if their g-rep is to be believed.
