The TITAN presence at the wreck of the Serendipity has gotten more active. Few have noticed yet, and Firewall wants it looked into before the Lunar government finds out. When they do, there will likely be a full-blown nuclear response.
Making matters worse, the nearby habitat of Farnoss is home to a secretive ego backup facility used by the Planetary Consortium. If the Serendipity is growing underground passages like those near Mars’ TQZ, then Farnoss could be at risk and even Luna’s nuclear warheads might not be enough to contain it.
Roland’s familiarity with the old cylindar hab is a great boon to the investigation, but he knows better than almost anyone what happened on Serendipity during the fall – and what might still be waiting for them deep in its wreckage.
The group was not alone in exploring the wreckage. Michelle Taleb, one of the 93 to escape the Serendipity, had come looking for a similar closure. Teaming up, the large group braved the horrors of the Fall once again. Roland gave the long-dead Natalie a final goodbye, and Michelle retrieved a package of encrypted data from her old life. The group planted an AM bomb and left for the craters of Luna.
In the nuked wreckage, nothing remains now of the Serendipity nor the TITAN machines who had taken up residence in its bowels.
