Talarius is first and foremost a group of friends who play tabletop RPGs together. Many of us met through that hobby and through other social groups that support it, like the URSGA club at the University of Rochester.
Our site is built on Wiki.js, hosted by Heroku. It’s a powerful, flexible platform that allows us to share our games with each other and the world, without Paige spending all her time writing code.
One tiny downside is that our site is no longer free for us. Paige pays for the site out of pocket, so maybe buy her a coffee to help out!

We began with a site on Wikispaces, hosting our first handful of games on their platform. Those early games are no longer publicly available, but the archives can be shared on request.
When Wikispaces removed their free option in 2010, we switched over to a site on Google Sites. We hosted about 20 games through that platform as we grew as a group.
In 2020, Google Sites brought the hammer down on their New Sites experience. Since that style of editing and content management doesn’t work for a wiki site, we decided to jump platforms once again. This time, to a custom website that wouldn’t pull the rug out from under us.
